Put on the headset and learn to work safely around pipes and acids. The assessment starts in the control room, where you put on various PPEs to protect you from the chemicals used in the pipeline. You will then be given your work permit to begin your work. You have to read the schematics of the pipes to shut down the right pumps and close the right valves. Then you go to the machine room to perform manual lockout/tagout procedures on the pipes involved in the maintenance. You will use a walkie-talkie to communicate with the control room and tape off the maintenance area. You will then release the residual pressure in the line by checking the pressure gauges. You will need to use water to wash the chemicals off the floor. Then return to the control room to report the completion of the task.
