Solar Panel Maintenance (Rooftop)

The training experience

In the VR simulator, you are stepping into the role of a rooftop solar maintenance technician. You will identify and inspect the arc-rated PPE and fall-protection equipment required for energized work at height, set up and confirm a ladder, then clip onto a horizontal lifeline for safe rooftop access. You will apply lockout/tagout to the DC disconnect and verify de-energization with a multimeter, recognize that PV strings stay live in daylight and work safely around energized circuits. You will also perform panel cleaning, connector tightening and a correctly sequenced faulty-panel replacement.
